Having always been interested in languages, Vicky studied French language and literature at Shanghai International Studies University before transferring to University of Alberta to study the language of business – accounting.
As a government employee, Vicky enjoys working in public service because it provides her with a front-row seat to observing how the system serves “we the people”.
She is passionate about everything pertaining to parenting, from education on pregnancy and birth, to children’s early brain development. As a mother herself, she truly understand why people say that parenting is the toughest job you’ll ever love. She also gravitates towards causes related to gender equality and NGO operational excellence.
Being a Global Shaper, she aspires to improve her global acumen on social development and public policy, especially the roles played by young parents and children.
